Captain Morrissey's Seafood Market

The objective at Captain Morrisey's is to offer our customers the finest seafood from the waters of the Nova Scotian Shelf, George's Bank and the Gulf of Maine.  To do this, only selected quality fish from the sustainable hook and line fishery will make the grade. 

The hook and line fishery is the same as used by Captain Clayton and his crew aboard the Effie M. Morrissey.   Since that time, a lot of changes have taken place - engines have replaced sail, navigation has been changed by electronics, steel and fiberglass have replaced wood. 

But this method, although hundreds of years old, is still being used by the longline and hook-and-line fishery today and is environmentally friendly to the sea bed.
